Intergrating Code

Being a producer is kinda hard in my situation, cause I have to mostly come up with mostly all of the ideas for the game, but I don't want it to count on just me, I want my whole team to help me with this project to make our game awesome. I try to make sure that our game looks ok with everyone else and our teacher and make sure that the amination looks fine and our codes work great.

Pseudocode and Commented Code

My Game Idea is called The Electric Tower. Lightening strikes the tower. You use your mouse to click on the right answer in the clouds. One cloud will have the right answer, the other will have the wrong answer. When you click on the right cloud, lightening strikes the tower, if you click on the wrong cloud, nothing happens you just have to start all over on that level.

My Presentation   My Biggest fear was probably making sure that everyone can understand what I am talking about and hoping to not mess up. Probably talk more cause Robbie was talking alot more then I was.

Assembling Your Demo

I think I have learned alot from making this demo even things I thought was very interesting to put into a game. I've learned how to put codes into my game and make things move into the game and put more layers into the game to make it a more fun game. I will be using these tips into making my game more entertaining.

Adding Sound

I plan on using sound in my game to make the game more interesting to play. I would also like to put some music in it so it would keep you even more entertained and would like to keep playing the game more.  It's really hard to play a game without any sounds or music, it starts to get boring and lose of interest in the game.  Music and sounds are pretty much one of the biggest parts of the game, cause people would like to listen to something while playing a game to help them focus more.

Thanksgiving Break

I was pretty busy during Thanksgiving break.  I wasn't home very much either probably one or two days.  I mostly spent time with my cousin that I hardly see mostly everyday.  For Thanksgiving, half of my family went to Canaan and ate, while the other after ate at my Aunt and Uncle's House for Thanksgiving.  My dad did go hunting and said he shot a deer but I never saw the deer so I don't know if he's telling the truth or not.

Working With Flash

Flash is pretty cool to work with, it does get confusing on some things that you have to do in it.  The codes is what gets me the most in Flash, sometimes the codes are tricky and you have to find a way to make them work like add more codes or take out some codes.  Drawing is difficult on Flash to use it can never be perfect but pretty much close enough of the picture your trying to draw.  I do like tracing pictures on Flash that really does help a lot to help people know what the picture is.

Animation

These numbers in clouds are pretty much close to the animations were gonna put in our game.  The numbers in the clouds are the most important part of the game cause you need the numbers to beat the game. In our game, the numbers are in the clouds and you have to choose which one is right.  One will be right and one will be wrong. 

Useful Resource

This website Math Is Fun gave me some examples on how to make my game be pretty easy for Elementary kids to figure out.  It's the most easiest math I've ever done and I hope that this helps little Elementary kids get it and helps them improve on their math in school and make it more fun for them to understand it.  

Telling About The Game

Were seeing if their mind works pretty fast enough to type in the correct number that flashes before it touches the ground, and when they have to add all the numbers that  show up at the end of the level, we would like them to do it in their mind.  The Amazing Math was a pretty good math game that is sorta close to ours. They helped me think of ideas for my game that is original and pretty interesting to play and have fun using math to make towers work.

Drawing A Scene

The new idea that we came up for our game was to have the lightening strike the player if he types in the wrong number.  It would make the game more interesting to play.  It would make more sense to people if they knew what would happen to them if they typed in the wrong number instead of just restarting the game by making three mistakes.  Because  you typing in the numbers correctly will help you get through the level faster then typing in the wrong one and get electrocuted by lightening.

The Electric Tower Game

After writing and drawing about how my team and I wanted the game to be, it's been getting a little more serious and a little more entertaining.  We have made good ideas about how we want the game to look like and how we want it to be.  I've been thinking a little more for the game like how I want the sound effects to be and what kind of music I would like to have in the game.  This assignment has helped me focus more onto the game then anything else.  I really think this game will help people add things in their head and help improve their math skills in addition.

My role in our team is Producer and Content Developer/Writer.  I think that I'm good for this job because I think it would be fun to create this game with my partners in my team beside me helping me make this game successful.  The hardest part about working in teams is trying to agree with everything that we want to put into the game. 

Beginning My Game

I'm mostly excited about showing people the game I'm wanting to make.  I'm also pretty much excited about making the game with my partners that will be helping me with this project.  Learning how to make the game successful will be exciting to create and do.  Here is the idea of what I want my game is going to look like.  ~*~We are planning our game to be one of the most entertaining games in High school Game Design.  The game would have at least around 5 Towers, they all have electricity around them you just have to get the lightning from the sky to strike the towers. You do this by typing in the numbers that appear on the screen. There are  going to be three numbers.  One of them will glow and you have to type in the numberAt the end all of the numbers will show up on the screen, you add them up on your own and type in the sum. If your answer is wrong you will be electrocuted. This game will be a fun and entertaining game that tests your knowledge in Mathematics. ~*~ 

Playing Games In My Free Time

Mostly when I'm home and not doing homework or hanging out with friends I mostly am playing video games in my room for a couple hours.  My favorite video games are Final Fantasy X and X-2, BloodRayne, Devil May Cry, Legend of Zelda, Assassin's Creed, and Sonic.  I enjoy playing these games cause their so adventurous and you kill people and creatures and try to save people.  The video games that I play pretty much makes me want to play more games that are around the rating T for Teen and M for Mature.  

My Game Topic

Well first of all my name is Chelsey, I was asked to find links and research the game I'm going to make.  I was thinking of making a puzzle game, it's entertaining to try to solve puzzles it sometimes makes you feel smart.  My game would be fun as well, like every puzzle you have to solve would be in a little game so it's not too boring.  You'll get points to unlock new areas to solve more puzzles there.   I went here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puzzle_video_game  and I got some Ideas of how to make a good puzzle with this website.  Hopefully this will be a fun entertaining puzzle game.  

Genre For My Game Idea

Well, most of the games on "Play to Learn" was pretty neat and very interesting. The game I'm wanting to make is in the adventure game.  I do enjoy playing fighting games and killing games and quest games mostly anything but adventure games are the best.  I'm gonna have a character have to go on a quest to save his people from danger.  It's gonna be awesome.   But i'll try to make the game easy but not too easy, you have to have some difficulty in some areas.  

Privacy On The Internet

It is very important to protect your profile or anything you put on the internet. There is lots of weirdos, sex addicts, Cyber bullies, and stalkers on the internet.  You should change your password on everything that you get on to and joined at least every 3 months.  Never put too much information about you like your full name, and where you live.  First name is alright but never put your first and last name.  Here's  a link to give you more information about Privacy on the internet.   Also, do not use your first and last name as a screen name on anything same goes for e-mail.  

Game Idea

I want to make a Adventure game just like Final Fantasy X.  It would have a lot of magical creatures that you would have to fight just to upgrade your strength and character.  It would mostly have a really good beat in the game drums and guitar playing when you have to fight a boss, and a techno beat when your fighting magical creatures or humans.  You will also be playing little games to help you get some Gil which is money to buy things like potions and revival potions and eye drops and more.  The game I'm wanting to make I want it to appeal to Teenagers and young Adults.  It will have some violence in it and maybe a little bit of blood when you get hit.  I would really like if my class will help me make this game.
